Manifesting Change: Garrett's Journey with Life Coach Laura
“She helped me to think outside of the box, or perhaps, she noticed my fleeting thoughts and latched onto them, encouraging me to sow those little seeds of ideas until they sprouted into something substantial.”
I have always appreciated her positive attitude and her ability to listen really well.
She was very conscious of the words that she used when having a conversation and had a lot of great suggestions on various ways to approach different matters. Furthermore, the encouragement and accountability she provided were invaluable. Each time we would get off the phone, we'd recap what we went over, and she would highly encourage me to take care of a few specific tasks within the one-week span we had until we spoke again.
Can you describe how things changed for you?
By changing my thoughts to a more positive manner, things started to come together and manifest themselves in my life. I was in an unhealthy relationship, and we took steps to clarify what I wanted for my life. As I became more conscious of these things, they started to fall into place, and my desires began to become reality.
Indeed, it's that law of attraction thing—manifesting what you want in your life for yourself and others. It was profoundly effective. Specific instances included quitting the job I had at the time, which allowed me to earn more money and gave me more financial freedom. This set the stage for me to start manifesting the lifestyle I wanted. She encouraged me to interview and ask for what I wanted, and it happened.
The freedom and self-esteem that came along with these changes were wonderful. I had an idea of how I wanted to live and where I wanted to reside, and everything fell into place beautifully. When I moved into my new place, I remember wishing for a running trail. The very next day, I spotted people running on a dirt road right next to my property. I Googled it, and it was an exact mile in length—perfect!
I'd lived there for a few weeks, and more surprises continued to unfold. She encouraged me to explore new hobbies, and that led me to teach myself skateboarding—at age 43, which is pretty cool.
She also nudged me towards involving myself with groups of people to create a more social lifestyle. Making friends hasn't been easy for me in Utah, a problem shared by other people from out of state. So, I joined Facebook and became part of some singles' groups—these are not dating groups, just people who are single and engage in activities together. I even joined a soccer group; I hadn't played since I was young, but in the last month, I've started up with a group of people and it's been a blast.
